Lent is a time for giving things up but this year our fundraising campaign in the run up to Easter is all about giving something back as well. The 40 for 40 challenge is all about raising much needed funds to support the operation of Leicester South Foodbank.

With people struggling to afford food living locally, it is important that we can continue to support families in crisis throughout the Easter period. We provide essential emergency food, emotional support and practical advice to families who live near you and really need us.

The Challenge

We are asking people to join us in taking small actions to transform lives by giving up 40 pence for the 40 days of Lent. With the addition of Gift Aid this comes to £20.

Or if you feel like challenging yourself to give something up during this period, why not donate the cost of what you save towards Leicester South Foodbank? You can also follow the campaign and post your progress on social media using the #40for40 hashtag.

At the end of Lent on 13th April, bank the money you’ve raised and send a cheque (made payable to Leicester South Foodbank and write ‘Lent’ on the reverse) together with a Gift Aid Form to: Leicester South Foodbank, The Kings Centre, 56 Bull Head Street, Wigston, LE18 1PA

Please email [email protected] for a gift aid form or you can click here to download and print our handy pdf version.
