We’re crowdfunding on Chuffed to raise operating funds

We’re excited to announce our new crowdfunding campaign to raise operating funds has now gone live on charity-specific site Chuffed and we’d love it if you could get involved with the campaign as a supporter.

We already see massive generosity from individuals and organisations in our community with their donations of food and personal hygiene supplies allowing us to distribute these vital items to those most in need.

However, as well as the actual supplies we provide to local people, it requires significant financial funding (more than £25,000 every year!) to continue to operate the foodbank and it seems the level of need only continues to increase, making our job harder and the costs higher.

Here at Leicester South Foodbank, we are networking and partnering with statutory and voluntary services around Leicester and Leicestershire to ensure people get help when and where they need it. Our van is loaded as soon as it is empty and then back on the road to deliver food parcels all over the county.

With the growing demand we need your financial support to ensure this service can grow and more people in need are helped out of food poverty and sign posted to services and agencies that will give them hope and a future.

Your financial support in 2019 will help us to meet our annual operating costs required to continue to provide the support and service that is essential to so many people in our local area.
