A huge thank you to the effort of the volunteers of Leicestershire & Rutland blood bikes for donating 350 Easter eggs. They arrived on bikes and in a car and were soon getting our guest excited at the prospect of being able to have and give Easter eggs to friends and family who would otherwise have missed out.
“I was juggling with getting nappies and wipes and food for the week and was upset that I couldn’t get my little boy an egg as well, this has made our Easter, thank you so much”

Just a few reactions to the generosity of the donation. The atmosphere was so happy and people wanted to help each other and not just help themselves.
“To me that’s what the foodbank is all about, people helping each other, being given hope in a world that can appear not to care.” Explained Bruce Harrison Operations manager.
