Certification of Recognition for Leicester South Food Bank

Our heartfelt thanks to the panel at Leicestershire Cares for the nomination, it is an honour for our volunteers and employees at Leicester South Foodbank to be recognised for the resilience and the risk we take to support our community which would not be possible without The Trussell Trust support and campaign for change. Bruce Harrison our Operations Manager has expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for this award, he continually provides support to other charities through these difficult busy times too. The real heroes are the generous people of Leicester who have come together and donated consistently to ensure we have the right levels of stock for those who need it most.
We are incredibly humbled Councillor Melissa March has nominated us “They are doing fantastic work supporting the most vulnerable, often at times of crisis. They do this with dignity and kindness and impressive expediency. They are also supporting schools across the area and are planning forward for the future beyond the initial lockdown phase but when there will still be a serious increase in need for people to access their support.” A HUGE THANK YOU for the #TogetherWeCare certificate awarded to us.
Congratulations to ALL heroes who have also been working extremely hard during the #coronavirus pandemic. You are what makes the community in Leicester so blessed.
