About 250kg of food has been collected over the last few weeks from Desford village group. You guys have been checking our website https://leicestersouth.foodbank.org.uk/give-he…/donate-food/ and donating exactly what we want. 250kg gives 25 people emergency food parcel for three days. That’s 9 meals of breakfast, lunch and tea. We had someone who had recently received one of the emergency food parcels, email us to thank us and to say that their children were so excited to open it. This is the joy of what we do, but unfortunately, we are gearing up for an increase in people needing food banks. Please keep doing what you are doing, it is making a difference and showing people in your community that someone cares. Thank you, Desford!
