Another £160 raised by Wigston Fields News & Deli pay as you feel customers. Also, you guys have been shopping and placing items in our collection basket located in the shop on, Carlton Drive. When we picked up this week it was overflowing, thank you so much. Pratik and Bee are working so hard to ensure they can continue to serve their community. Up very early to the wholesalers to get the items, not just to sell in the shop but also the pay as you feel, having asked customers what they want. I know how valuable shop space is, especially when you are a local store. Some of the supermarkets won’t place a collection basket because it takes up commercial space. Wigston Fields News & Deli have given up space for the pay as you feel items which is an extremely generous way of supporting us. This family have been serving our community humbly and without complaint for generations, it’s not always easy and I know that they sometimes get hassle from youngsters who think it’s funny to be rude and disruptive. Please show your gratitude by supporting this icon of how to care for your neighbour, by purchasing your everyday items as well as the fantastic luxury treats we all need occasionally to keep our spirits up. I’m not writing this because I want you to support us, I‘m writing this because it’s a privilege to call Pratik my friend which I know a lot of you do as well. Thank you Pratik and Bee for all you do.
