Leicester South Foodbank at Thurmaston Asda

We’d like to say a big thank you to Asda for allowing us to turn out in force at their Thurmaston store on Saturday this past weekend to run a food collection and let shoppers know about the work Leicester South Foodbank does in the local community.
We had a great time chatting to people and filling our donation trolleys! Loads of friendly faces and positivity from those we spoke to about the support that food bank’s provide (however unfortunate it is that the service is needed!).
We had some hugely generous donations of supplies from customers who headed off to do their shop with our little extra lists providing info on the items we are always in need of. We always know we can rely on the amazing people of Leicester and Leicestershire for support. You guys rock!
There’s a collection point in store permanently at the Asda Thurmaston store if you’re a customer and would like to get involved with donating supplies. We’re so grateful for all the support we receive in helping local people in crisis.
