Unfortunately this is now starting to become a weekly occurrence. £250 worth of shopping on just the items we need to ensure we have all the items for a parcel. This may look a lot and we certainly get some funny looks from other customers, but this will literally only last a week.
With the stores now lifting restrictions and we have been able to put our collection baskets in more stores, we are asking you to please remember to buy a few items when you do your weekly shop. If you check the web site https://leicestersouth.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/ and buy the items on our list this really helps. Although we are grateful for any donation, targeted items mean we dont have to keep buying top up stock.
I would love if you would send in pictures of you shopping and putting into our baskets. If you are camera shy just photo the items, but we can tweet the photos out and encourage more people to donate. It would be great if you also mentioned the store as they have been great in supporting us and the staff have gone above and beyond in support.
